Let the Great Granny Blanket Project begin....... & a little tease

Good morning, end of the week already, can you believe it?  Well as the title suggests yesterday I went in search of wool. As I needed some crafty bits I ended up in Hobby Craft which is not the best place to purchase your yarn, choice was a bit limited and it was a little pricey, but I came away with a colour scheme that I think will make up into a nice Winter blanket. It's totally for me of course as I'm usually the one turning the thermostat to max. I figure if I start it now it might be finished in time for the Winter months!

And here's a teasing little snippet of stitchery I've been working on.

It's not finished yet, more of that next week.

I'm off to Tewkesbury this weekend to see a 'battle' (it's a husband thing). I am of course hoping that I will find one or two 'shops for mum' while I'm there so until next week my friends have a great weekend and thanks as always for your support.

  1. Hello Caroline:
We love the slate-blue-grey colours of the wools which you have chosen for your blanket which should team beautifully with the slightly rusty red. Perhaps you could make a start tomorrow whilst the 'battle' is being enacted?!!

    Whatever, have a lovely weekend.
