Fabric picture - 'Little Houses'

Just a quickie, after yesterdays wordy post I feel in need of lots of pics. So I just wanted to share with you a little picture I made using my best friend, my embroidery foot.

I'm getting adventurous though, I changed the colour of my thread oooooh I hear you cry yes indeed I used a chocolatey brown ..........

......and also did a little free motion artistry, check out the chimneys and the birds.

The frame was a treasure from a car boot, upcycled  to live another day and it provides the perfect setting for this picture.

I love 'little houses', I think there's something very appealing about them. I hope you enjoyed the gallery and definitely not too 'wordy' post.

There is some amazing embroidery talent out their in blogland, I've come to the conclusion that practice, pratice, practice is what you need to do.

Happy Crafting!

  1. That's simply lovely. Quirky and fun and, well, I really like it.

    You're so right about practising.

I'm waiting for some embroidery bits and pieces I've ordered online and whilst I wait I am practising stitches and techniques on fabric offcuts, and doing lots of reading and watching video tutorials.

  7. That is just beautiful, it reminds of long summer days on the lesser known parts of the North Norfolk coast
