Indulge me.....

One gone back to school and one on a sleepover so the house is feeling horribly quiet this morning. I just wanted to share a few holiday pics with you. We went to the small Greek island of Skiathos. Not knowing anything about it at all I soon discovered it was the most beautiful place. It was like the Greece I remember from a brief spell of island-hopping in my youth. It's nice to know that some things just don't change. The scenery was amazing, the people were friendly and we just had such a lovely time. Hopefully these few pics will give you a 'flavour' of Skiathos.

Of course Skiathos is most recently famous for having being used as one of the locations for 'Mama Mia', alongwith it's neighbouring island of Skopolos. Now regular readers of my blog will know I am somewhat of a 'Mama Mia virgin', so this was a little lost on me, but I do have the DVD and when the right rainy afternoon presents itself, (shouldn't be too long) I'll be screeching at the TV as I recognise various bits.

No Handmade Monday for me this week as I'm not quite up to speed with things yet but do make sure you pop over and visit Wendy at 1st Unique gifts for the weekly round up of wonderful crafty contributions. However you enjoyed yourselves hope you all had a great 'summer holidays'.

Skiathos looks amazingly beautiful, it is on my wishlist of places to visit. I went to Santorini, Crete and Zante a few years ago, I love the traditional white washed houses perched on the clifftops and the gorgeous azure waters. You look like you have had a wonderful holiday xxx
p.s Mamma Mia is fab, it is my cheer up movie, I always watch it if I'm feeling a little down and it never fails! hehe x
