Handmade Monday - Cards

Good morning and a very warm welcome to my new followers it's nice to have you here. I read your comments with great relish and have come to realise how important the blogging community is to me. Thank you.

This week for Handmade Monday, my offering is cards. If you follow my blog regularly you will know how much I enjoy papercrafting. Just recently there have been birthdays galore to celebrate, friends of the boys, a friend of ours with a very big birthday, wedding anniversaries and of course thank you cards (you can never have too many of these), so I've been busy, but just have a couple to share with you today.

First that big birthday card for a friend of ours, who likes his music and his wine.

On closer inspection.... I love this stamp, and use it alot, it comes in very handy at Christmas time. Gold eyelets help this sentiment 'pop' and stand out beautifully against the chocolate brown background. (Sorry pic is a little out of focus)

Then a birthday card for a niece. I love the colour combination on this card. Very simple to make as you can see, the flowers simply punched out of card stock.  I'm not a big fan of over fussy cards, I love alot of 'white space', less is more is definitely my mantra

Now,those Handmade Monday ladies at 1st Unique gifts will have been busy beavering away creating their lovely makes, so that's my next destination. Make sure you pop over too.

  5. Hello Caroline:
Handmade cards are so very personal we always think and show that special care and thought have been made. These examples are lovely, Caroline, and we are sure that the recipients will have greatly appreciated them and the attention to detail which you clearly give.

  8. Very nice cards - I think too much fuss and decoration often distracts and that stamp is lovely. I really like the tone on tone look. Simple but effective.

I have never seen a stamp like the wine one, I'll have to look harder at stamps as I love using them.
I have been meaning to say thanks for the tip about the Fiskars guillotine, I bought one from Amazon and am delighted with it.x
