I have become totally obsessed with free motion embroidery. As we speak, dare I say, a darning foot is winging its way to me through the post, hurry up! I first became properly aware of FME after seeing it used beautifully on
Kirsties Homemade Home last year, but I honestly didn't think I could do it on a machine as old as mine. How wrong I was! I then delved a little deeper and found out how this technique can be used for applique, oh joy! I still need to equip myself with all of the necessary accoutrements to get the best effect, but I couldn't resist having a play and made a cute little fabric collage. It's a first attempt but I was quite pleased with it. Just look at the little front door.
I'm so looking forward to experimenting with this technique, but for now I need to go and accost the postman! Thanks for visiting, have a good day.

This project has taken my breath away! I love the rustic feel of it. Are you selling these in your Folksy shop too?
