Royal Wedding Bunting - with a difference

I thought long and hard about what my first post should be and decided to keep things simple. With the royal wedding coming up, bunting sprung to mind. Yes red, white and blue but not a union jack in sight! (that's the difference). I love the freshness of these fabrics, they complement each other so well.

I prefer to make my own as I'm not a big fan of the plastic bunting that you see in the shops and I'm even more picky in that I like my bunting double-sided. It's much more versatile and can be used wherever you like and still look fab.  This bunting is double-sided with a contrasting fabric.
Display it inside......

 ......or outside
....... or of course at the inevitable street party.  I think we may just end up having a Royal Wedding BBQ with friends but it will be lovely to decorate the garden.
So there you go, I hope you like it and feel wonderfully inspired to make your own.
If you're still not sure why not pay me a visit later in the week when I'll endeavour to show you how I made it with a photo tutorial. Gulp!
Happy sewing
Caroline

  1. Love these - and they'd be perfect for any occasion, not just royal ones!
